Pursuing goals isn’t about accomplishments or what you get; it’s about who you become in the process.
Success isn’t achieving your goals and dreams as quickly as you can. You’re successful as long as you are progressively moving toward something you really want.
How to Get What You Want
Everything in our lives, from our level of success to the amount of money that flows in, is governed by universal laws.
However, the most important law is what some people refer to as Cause and Effect … Sowing and Reaping … or Action, Re-Action.
Laws are discovered through a scientific process where theories are developed through research and investigation. When a theory proves to be correct, after many experiments and many facts are proven to be accurate, then a principle is announced.
The experiments continue until gradually, the law becomes accepted and may be used by anyone who understands and applies it.
In a nutshell, here’s how the Law of Cause and Effect works.
1. The thoughts, feelings, and actions that you express in life are seeds that you sow in a powerful and infinite medium—it is everywhere at all times.
2. The conditions, circumstances, and things that come into your life are the harvest you reap because of the seeds you sow.
If you want carrots, but you plant cucumber seeds, you end up harvesting a vegetable you don’t want.
If you want to work in harmony with the law, your thoughts, feelings, and actions must align with what you want.
In Other Words
It’s not luck when someone achieves a goal.
Still, many people think people who reach a big goal are just lucky. Well, here are five things I know about these lucky” people:
1. Lucky people use their intuition. Lucky people trust themselves to make the right decisions. And if they get it wrong, they choose another approach and keep things moving until finishing what they set out to do.
2. Lucky people treat their failures as an opportunity to learn and grow. They view life as a learning experience. Lucky people see everything—from every person they meet to everything they do and encounter—as a lesson.
3. Lucky people are grateful for what they have right now. They understand that if you are in the habit of feeling and expressing gratitude, the world wants to give you more and more.
4. Lucky people move toward their goals every day. Lucky people understand their dreams won’t come true by merely wishing for them. They don’t wait around for things to work out on their own. They do what’s necessary to move them from where they are to where they want to be.
5. Lucky people have positive beliefs and high expectations. They believe they can do anything they put their mind to, so they persist even in the face of considerable adversity. They eventually reach the finish line as the other contenders walk back to the starting line.
With those things in mind, here are more strategies for keeping your goals alive.
7 Things To Do Each Day to Stay in Alignment
1. Imagine – build the image of something that truly inspires you—such as multiplying your income or attracting your ideal partner.
2. Decide – make an irrevocable commitment to get what you want and keep going until you reach or create your goal.
3. Visualize – sit or lay quietly and create a picture in your mind of your heart’s desire. See yourself in the image—actually feel how happy, healthy, and wealthy you look. Engage all of your senses—what do you see, feel, hear, smell and taste as you experience your desire?
Go over your picture again and again until you feel the full reality of it. The more you can image the entire “package,” the better it’s going to be.
4. Repeat – Expose yourself to the idea of your goal over and over again. Read your goal card several times each day, use autosuggestion, and create and repeat meaningful affirmations.
The point is not to memorize the information but rather to impress the idea or image into your subconscious mind.
5. Read – study personal development material that helps you grow every day.
6. Act – act as if you are already the person you want to become. People often use the phrase “fake it until you make it.” However, that can be misleading to many.
What I am talking about here is feeling and acting like you already have your goal. For instance, if you want to win an award, practice accepting the award. What will you be wearing? What will you say? How many people will be there? How will you feel?
7. Associate – surround yourself with successful people who can help you reach or exceed your goal.
Reaping and Sowing
Wishing for a goal is not good enough.
For example, if you set a goal to earn a lot more money, decide on a specific amount and commit to it.
Then, align your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your goal, and you’ll not only keep your goal alive but in due time, you will achieve it.
To more and better,
