She approached me during a break at one of our events.
Her name was Karen, and she had a big bright smile. When she reached me, she said she was thoroughly enjoying herself.
We talked about the seminar for a couple of minutes, and when we started talking about her life, Karen’s demeanor changed quickly.
After listening to her for a bit longer, I knew why Karen’s energy had shifted…
In less than a minute, she had said things like, “I am broke. I am unlucky. I am a slow learner.”
If her statements had been “I am prosperous; I am blessed; I am smart,” Karen’s demeanor—and her life—would have looked much different.
Be careful what you ask for
Words have creative power, so you must be careful how you use them.
If you use them the right way, they can be very helpful. But used the wrong way, they can harm or even kill you.
And the words I AM are two of the most powerful words you can ever speak because whatever follows them will eventually find you.
When you say, “I am so clumsy,” for example, clumsiness comes looking for you.
“I am so old,” wrinkles will find you.
“I am overweight,” calories start calling your name.
Whatever you follow I AM with, you’re opening the door and permitting it to be in your life.
The good news is you get to choose what follows the I AM.
What’s coming out of your mouth all day?
The power of I AM is at work all through the day.
Unfortunately, many times we wield its power against ourselves because we don’t realize how it’s affecting our future.
When we wake up in the morning, we say, “I am so tired.”
We get caught in traffic and grump, “I am so unlucky.”
When we think about going for our dreams, we think, “I am not worthy. I am too old. I am broke.”
If we see somebody who is doing something we would really like to do, we mutter, “I’m not good enough.”
And when we drift off to sleep at night and we think, “I’m not looking forward to going to work tomorrow.”
However, when you go through the day saying:
“I am blessed;” blessings pursue you.
“I am deserving of the best;” abundance follows you.
“I am healthy;” strength tracks you down.
The I AMs coming out of your mouth will bring either success or failure, joy or despair, riches or poverty.
When you learn to harness the power of these two simple words, you will discover unique abilities and advantages you never knew you had.
Say so
Don’t just think good things about yourself, say them. A declaration gives life to your thoughts and beliefs.
Thinking “I am prosperous” is wonderful. However, saying “I am prosperous” is more powerful and it takes attraction to the next level.
If you’re going to live your dream, overcome an obstacle, or achieve a goal that previously scared you, start declaring it. That’s when you really start to pull money, ideas, and opportunities to you.
No matter what goal you’re trying to achieve…
No matter what troubles you’re facing…
No matter who says you’re not good enough or smart enough…
You can rise to the level of your desires by using the words I AM in a positive way.
Who are you lifting?
Understanding the power of I AM and using it in your favor can create miracles in your life.
But I’m going to let you in on a secret…
While it’s fantastic to receive a miracle, there’s no greater feeling than to become a miracle for others.
Many people are desperate for a break in finding a job, a smile, a hug or a few encouraging words. You can be the answer, the help, the solution they need.
As you become happier, healthier and wealthier through the proper use of I AM, you will be able to lift more people.
Whether it’s lifting someone’s spirits with a smile or a hug, opening the door to an opportunity for a stranger or helping a friend cross the finish line, you will be able to serve others.
Your destiny is connected to helping others. So, go out each day with this attitude: I am a miracle waiting to happen. If you will live this way, your light is going to break forth like the dawn. And you will be blessed many times over.
Have you created your list?
Have you created a list of positive I AM statements?
If not, maybe you should.
Since we constantly talk to ourselves, creating I AM statements is a very powerful exercise.
If you are struggling with something, you feel “off,” or you’re having a hard time breaking through a terror barrier, you can often turn your feelings (and thus your actions) around with a review of some positive I AM statements.
To help you get started, download the sheet below for powerful I AMs to speak into your life. Read over the declarations every day. Get them down in your spirit. Meditate on them.
Your declarations may not all be your reality right now, but as you continue to speak them, you’ll breathe life into them and they will become so.
To more and better,
Sandy Gallagher
P.S. Do you already have I AM statements that are making a difference in your life? If so, share some of them in the comments below. It may be just what someone else needs to hear to turn their day around.
