What affects your health?
Your genes?
Your environment?
The foods you eat?
Yes, yes and yes.
Each of those things plays a role in how healthy your body is.
But there’s something else that plays an even bigger role.
Perhaps you’ve heard that thought (or perception) causes every problem that we have. Well, that idea has more foundation than most people would ever believe.
Your body is a dumb terminal
Don’t take that personally—so is mine.
You see, the human body is an instrument of the mind. It will do whatever the mind tells it to do, whether the thoughts are deliberately chosen or automatically expressed.
So, thinking negative thoughts or making unhealthy choices hurt our body and can eventually cause us to get sick.
However, since the mind is the master, if “sick” thinking will cause the body to break down, “healthy” thinking will cause the body to grow strong.
Makes sense, doesn’t it? Especially when you consider that your body constantly re-creates itself. The body you’re living in today is not the same body you’ll be living in a year from now.
You can cast off diseased cells and create new healthy cells. Unfortunately, most people think the same or similar thoughts day after day and year after year. So, they cast off diseased cells only to re-create more of the same.
We’re not like the others
Nature designed the cells in most organisms to adapt to their environment. These cells directly read the environment, then they adjust their genetics accordingly. This allows the cells to stay alive in a dynamic environment.
However, our (human) cells do not read the environment. Instead, our nervous system reads the environment, interprets it and then sends a signal to our cells.
So, it’s not always our environment that controls are cells; it’s our perception of the environment.
What perception does
Your perception creates your reality.
However, sometimes your reality—whether it’s your health, finances or relationships—is not what you want.
So, what can you do about that?
Let’s take a moment to think about what perception is.
Perception is your point of view. It’s how you interpret the world. It’s how you see things.
Well, we think in pictures; we see images in our mind. So, when you perceive something, it creates an image, and that image sets up a vibration in your body.
On a conscious level, we refer to vibration as feeling. If you change your perception, you change the image in your mind, and that changes your vibration and how you feel.
Where perception comes from
Our perception is based on our beliefs, which affect every area of our life.
Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. They allow us to take any experience in our lives and create a meaning that disempowers us or one that can save our lives.
The problem is most of us accept our beliefs without taking the time to uncover and analyze them.
So, I suggest that you take some time to evaluate each of your beliefs about health.
Ask why do I believe this? Where did this belief come from? Why do I believe I can’t alter my health? Is there any foundation for this belief? Does this belief help me grow or disintegrate?
When you do that, you’ll likely find that many of your beliefs are not only ridiculous, but they are also destroying you.
When you discover beliefs that have no foundation or don’t serve you, change them. When you do, you will change your world.
A simple process that improves your health
- Take the results you’re getting, as negative as they are, and write them out in detail.
- Ask yourself what would be the polar opposite of that? Write out your answer.
- Burn the sheet with the negative results from Step 1.
- Rewrite the positive results (Step 2) every day for 30 days.
- Read the results you want each day.
This process will reprogram your mind, and your results will start to change. I don’t wonder if this works; I know it works. It must work because it’s an absolute law.
I’ve been using it for more than 50 years to achieve incredible results. And I’ve taught it to people from Asia to Zimbabwe.
It’s an inside job
If you don’t like your circumstance, change it!
You can rewrite your health at any time you choose. Your body was created to do this, and it’s happening every day.
I altered the course of my forever by listening to a recording over and over and over. You see, it’s the repetition of the idea that gets an idea fixed in your subconscious mind. And when it’s fixed, it automatically expresses itself. That’s what habits are.
Success is a habit.
Health is a habit.
Disease is a habit.
However, you create a new habit through repetition. It will reprogram your mind.
Even if you initially think it’s a lie that you can cure yourself or that you’re going to get better if you tell yourself that lie often enough eventually you’re going to believe it and it’s going to create the results you want.
The miraculous system within you
Listen, you’ve got an ingenious system built within you that can keep your body in excellent working condition.
If you cut yourself shaving or with a knife, does it stay that way forever?
Of course not. It knits. Given a chance, the body will automatically heal itself.
That’s because there’s a “system” inside you that causes your body to stay in a certain vibration.
However, if you start to suppress negative thoughts or feelings, it knocks your system out of whack. Those feelings must be expressed somehow, and they’ll express themselves in false growths if you don’t let them out.
Awareness is the name of the game
Most people hope they get better.
No, no, no.
You’ve got to believe you’re going to get better. You’ve got to know it.
Belief comes with the knowledge that the power to alter the course of your health is within you.
It also comes with understanding the laws of the universe. Understanding the relationship between the mind and the body. Understanding what causes illness and disease. Understanding the primary cause, the root cause and then dealing with it there.
The following quote by Edgar Cayce sums it up nicely:
“Healing of the physical without the change in the mental and spiritual aspects brings little real help to the individual in the end. How true, because the mind and the body imprint and imitate each other. What we think, we become. What we become, we think. It’s an insidious process that can predispose us to illness, or it can lead us to health.”
You can heal yourself; there’s no doubt about it. And don’t let anyone, not even a doctor, tell you otherwise.
